Paris Climate Action Plan for Biodiversity
Since 2019, we have been a signatory of the Paris Climate Action Plan for Biodiversity. This responsible commitment requires us to support Paris’s vision of a carbon-neutral city with 100% renewable energy by 2050, and to make concrete commitments.
Marcel is therefore part of a collective effort to protect our environment and combat global warming and the loss of biodiversity in Paris.
In late 2022, we renewed this commitment with the Paris City Hall.
For Marcel, our commitments are clear:
- Intensifying the greening of our partner drivers’ fleets, with a net zero carbon target for 2030
- Assisting our partner drivers in the ecological transition through concrete actions: financing offers, partnerships with electric charging providers, training in energy-efficient driving, etc.
- Continuing to contribute to the carbon neutrality of all our CO2 emissions through positive impact projects around the world with our partner GoodPlanet
- Committing to the Coopérative Carbone Paris to support local projects with a positive impact
« Because urban mobility is central to a revolution in which transport solutions are multiplying, it is now essential that the new players, including Marcel, consider their environmental impact. For several years now, Marcel, the chauffeur-driven vehicle platform and part of the Cosmobilis group, has been committed to reducing its environmental impact through a policy of contributing to voluntary carbon offsetting, as well as by encouraging its partner drivers to use electric or hybrid vehicles. The challenge for Marcel is to offer a virtuous model from both an environmental and economic point of view for its partner drivers and its customers, both private individuals and companies. »
