I have been debited for a different amount from the price of the booking
When you make your booking, Marcel requests authorisation to pay the amount of your quote. Payment is effective at the end of your journey.
A second authorisation is issued, cancelling the previous one, in the following cases:
- Additional waiting fees on top of the initial amount
- Adding an intermediate stop
- Modification of the journey before departure
- Modification of the journey during its execution
This means that your bank card is not debited for your initial quote, but for the final cost of your journey.
Please note that each booking attempt triggers a pre-authorisation which is automatically cancelled if the booking is unsuccessful or if it is modified. It may, however, continue to appear "in process" for 24 working hours before disappearing without any final debit. Although our cancellation is immediate, there may be a delay depending on your bank.
