Several bank debits for a single journey

When you make a booking, Marcel simply requests authorisation to pay the amount of your quote. This is not a debit, but a simple bank authorisation.

Each booking attempt triggers a pre-authorisation which is automatically cancelled if the booking is unsuccessful or if it is modified. It may, however, continue to appear "in process" on your bank statement for 24 working hours before disappearing without final debit. Although our cancellation is immediate, there may be a delay depending on your bank.

Marcel debits your bank account once the journey has been completed, at which point the payment is effective.

Marcel may debit you in the following cases:

  • The journey is over
  • You or your passenger did not show up at departure time, so the driver had to leave.
  • You have modified your trip less than an hour before departure (in the case of booking in advance) or 5 minutes after the booking (in the case of immediate booking).
  • You have requested the driver to make an intermediate stop during the journey and the price of your journey is adjusted downstream by our services, after you have completed your journey. In this case, an email is sent to you
